Equals
04:02
|
|||
The rift it is deep, your comfort lies in the arms of sleep.
I woke up from this dream, to late and…
I can't believe I've seen her look down on me.
Outsider look in, you've taken the warmth beneath my skin,
Your safe house is burning, she ran out…
I'll save her from the rain that will kill your flame.
Don't fight her - she wins
untie her - binding
how could you - me to the loss.
deny her to me.
She loved me - Forget her!
then left me - Respect her!
she's lonely - Don't neglect your life!
hopefully she'll see you and think of me.
You are so blind...

Floating Away
03:48
|
|||
You can have it all and sit back for a while,
take the time to show that our love is alive.
So now you threw it all and there's nowhere to go,
no one left to call, nothing new to show.
Are we the nature of the dark and a soul for the blind,
when finally love is in our eyes?
How could you put me down and fail to see my face?
How could you leave me out and haunt me for the rest of our days…
floating away, floating away…
It's empty for your soul to bear nothing at all;
the curtains of our time will open for your eyes.
You could be a picture when time will disown you;
why not make a game up and have someone hold you?
Are we the nature of the dark and a soul for the blind,
when finally love is in our eyes?
How could you put me down and fail to see my face?
How could you leave me out and haunt me for the rest of our days…
floating away, floating away…

The Passenger
03:52
|
|||
I trust in my advisors,
to know they're wise enough to make their own minds up.
It's so inconsequential,
I resent the fact that they won't hurt when I fuck up.
Seems like a long way to fall,
I can't see far down the tracks at all.
Make your mind up, don't be late,
there's no time for no mistakes
in a fast moving world.
---(I'm a passenger on my own train...)
What to do, who to choose,
choose to what, do to who?
---(...cruising comfortably out of control...)
Then you'll find the end of the line
and I feel out of time,
to make up you mind just…
---(…and I feel like I can't…)
…choose!
What have I done…?
When I look at my gut feelings,
I'm only seeing back the things I'm afraid of.
And I can't find a reason to embrace the higher life I'm not worthy of.
Seems like a long way to fall,
I can't see far down the tracks at all.
Make your mind up, don't be late,
there's no time for no mistakes
in a fast moving world.
---[I'm a passenger on my own train…]
What to do, who to choose,
choose to what, do to who?
---[...cruising comfortably out of control…]
Make your mind up, don't be late,
there's no time for no mistakes
in a fast moving world.
---[…There's a sign saying "Stop for your own sake"…]
What to do, who to choose,
choose to what, do to who?
---[you can dig yourself out of this hole.]
'cause I am tied to my course,
making the same mistakes, the same mistakes,
again, and again, and again.
the same mistakes again, the same mistakes again,
I forever will choose…
What have I done...?

Secret Life
03:33
|
|||
I'm in love with the secret life
where you can be anyone you like,
'cause we have suffered enough this time
and we're not going to loose this fight.
You were taken but who am I?
I am your brother so step aside.
If only you could close your eyes,
and dis-attach your flailing mind.
You're heavenly,
my sweetest fear,
come stand with me,
until I know…
You can have a taste for a while,
'n' sit and be happy in denial.
You can love her, you can change her,
but that won't last…
Saw you in the afterlife,
are you surprised by what you were like?
Might as well be a different kind,
you couldn't picture me with a different mind.
Together we could destroy this place,
that lights up and then separates.
It give you a chance to be that face,
and give you a name forever in space.
You're heavenly,
my sweetest fear,
come stand with me,
until I know…
You can have a taste for a while,
'n' sit and be happy in denial.
You can love her, you can change her,
but that won't last…

Kicking The Habit
04:36
|
|||
Carelessly I fall to a place that I call home and relax.
Let my mind unwind and absorb the stuffy air,
it's a fact, I'm here, too loud and clear, again.
…because I'm kicking' the habit again,
don't wanna wake up this morning past 10, I'm there again.
I'll destroy myself so happily,
and I love every minute of this hate and passion.
The sort of the fashion, the wearing, that keeps me alive.
I'm convinced, I'll survive.
...because I'm kicking' the habit again,
don't wanna wake up this morning past 10, past 11, past 12,
past 1 again.
And I'm annoyed with myself for the habit I crave.
Keep fuelling the fire and keep going on,
all my needs are running away with me.
Kickin' the Habit, kicking' the habit again…
Carelessly I fall, and stumble to my knees and collapse,
I but to your eyes I'm hopeless nobody, so cumbersome
and fat on a life of poisonous crap again.
So I pick myself up and stretch out a hand for the sprits that keep me alive…
Cider and beer and whiskey and wine…
Here we are swimming through a dream
ignoring the outside world thinking of that girl.
I'm a yellow submarine and you're in a bubble, but I'm the one in trouble.
Pop me out of this world I'm in don't leave me here to drown
in my yellow submarine…
Bring on the habit, don't kick the habit, bring back the habit now…
…'cause I'm free.
So don't make me feel like I'm not sane,
I'm high on imaginary fame,
I couldn't bear the shame.
Kickin' the habit again,
don't wanna wake up this morning past 10,
I'm there again.

The Stage
03:38
|
|||
Why would I fall apart,
just to be put back together again?
These scenes from a troubled heart
will be artistically put in a frame.
'n' then your love will surround your fear
and encase your body again.
Then you learn to forgive yourself
and realise that it's you that's making this game.
Do you really know yourself
if you continually live for a better day,
and you can guess where you're heading,
but don't be afraid.
Do you really know yourself
without embracing the fears that'll seek you out
and not rest until you welcome them in.
Do I really have a part,
or am I just standing around in the shade
waiting for something to start
'n' someone to push me onto the stage,
where my mind will dissolve again
and appear in the audience?
Then I start to believe I am there,
when really I just didn't look within.
Do you really know yourself
if you continually live for a better day,
and you can guess where you're heading,
but don't be afraid.
Do you really know yourself
without embracing the fears that'll seek you out
and not rest until you welcome them in.
I don't mind,
but I know that someday you will leave me on this stage,
reading the lines you wrote for me.
Where are you to set me free?
I don't mind,
but I know that someday you will leave me on this stage,
reading the lines you wrote for me,
for there you will set me free.

High and Mighty
03:07
|
|||
The raindrops from your spire are running deep my love,
it's warm down here, I'll stoke the fire for you my love.
How you've built up a vast empire so proud and tall.
How you've grown up, oh so grown up, oh how you've outgrown us all.
And while I wait, so patiently, you'll drift away…
I'll fondly lay the bricks and mortar strong for you.
The concrete slabs and steel bars are there to protect you.
Are you made up? Are you made out of iron and stone?
How could you sit up, so uncomfortably high on a broken throne?
And while I pray, to you so high and mighty…
…I am weak, I am weak, I am weak, I… am weak!

Distant Friends
04:51
|
|||
All my learned reason is meaningless now.
We stare together, no vacancies found.
Hold me 'til morning has broken your mind.
Follow the people who gave you your life.
When did nostalgia take over your life?
You could look forward to times yet defined.
Hold me 'til morning has broken your mind.
Follow the people who gave you your life.
And still you feel that strangers are just like your distant friends,
and hope will bring you back where you belong.
I'll find you in the end.
Your love is set in stone now - time will be on the other side
A blank shield with no expression - I will raise your name to keep me from smiling.
You'll perish with the living - as we'll still be found sitting on the sills of time.
And when I've spent my days - you'll find me as if I'd never been away.
Hold me 'til morning has broken your mind.
Follow the people who gave you your life.
And still you feel that strangers are just like your distant friends,
and hope will bring you back where you belong.
I'll find you in the end.
You're gonna live someday.
